Description of 2 Red Patent Leather Chairs :
These two little bedroom / salon chairs were found at one of our favorite types of French Brocantes. In a sleepy old town in Northern France one Sunday we were lucky enough to come away with a fabulous haul. Dating from around 1830 these are two little gems.
We painted them with a matt dark ash grey, specially mixed for us in France and highlighted the carving with bright red acrylic to match the stunning bright red patent leather seats. We found the patent leather in an old leather shop in the textile distric of Paris.
Please Note-there is a thin black line under the leather finish on one of the chair, this is something that sometimes happens with patent leather as it is a scar under the patent finish that shows through. This is reflected in the price.
